The main house was in decent shape structurally, so the work was mostly about restraint, new plumbing and electrical, restored floors and windows, nothing that would compete with the original facade. The one addition is a covered timber pavilion at the edge of the property, built separately from the house so it reads as its own structure rather than an extension pretending to be original. It's where the family actually spends most of their time now.
